New Delhi: Intelligence
reports over the last few weeks have clearly stated that the role of
China’s People’s Liber-ation Army is not restricted to training
Pakistani soldiers close to the border but goes much beyond.
The
Chinese are also helping the Pakistan Army “build state of the art high
impact bunkers’’ close to the border from where snipers of the Pakistan
Army can target Indian soldiers.
“There
is credible information to suggest that the PLA is providing the
technical expertese to the Pakistan Army in developing infrastructure
close to the border which can be detrimental to India’s long term
security interests,’’the report submitted to the NSA states.
Intelligence
agencies have also cautioned that the Chinese security agencies are
also helping the Pak Army and Rangers in deploying hi-tech sensors and
surveillance equipment with night vision devices with the sole view to
keep a check on Indian patrolling teams.
The
Chinese have also provided the technical know how to the Pakistan
forces in putting up good quality fences and constructing roads.
